AF1 Models 1:48 Scale P-38 Lightning USAAF WWII Diecast Model Warbird

We have just acquired this beautiful 1/48 scale Lockheed Martin P-38 Lightning diecast aircraft model by AF1 Models. It is done up in the livery of "Pudgy IV" from 5th Air Force, 475th FG "Satan's Angels", 431st FS "Hades", Squadron Number 131 (Red 131) piloted by Major Thomas B. McGuire Jr. Nicknamed "Pudgy IV" after his wife Marilynn who was nicknamed “Pudgy”. This was the fourth aircraft that bore the this nickname and squadron number.

One of our long-time customers has retired, and is down-sizing. He has provided us with a large collection of beautiful mahogany desk models, as well as a large variety of unbuilt vintage model kits. The model is in beautiful condition, with just a few very minor marks and no loss to the paint or markings. It comes in original packaging with a metal display stand. The box has very minimal shelf wear.
