Product Overview
Vintage 1975 Kenner Steve Austin the Six Million Dollar Man 13" Figure with Helmet
Here we have an authentic Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin 13" action figure doll, made by Kenner in 1975. He has his original red tracksuit, with socks, and running shoes, but is missing the T-Shirt. Turn his head to the right, and he will raise his arm as you press the button on his back repeatedly. This is the original version of the figure; the 1977 re-issue came with bionic grip, and has a bionic arm design without removable modules. This listing includes his astronaut helmet, which did not originally come with the figure and was available in a separate accessory pack. Being that this toy is now 50 YEARS OLD, I do not recommend "playing" with it, nor do I recommend removing the clothing. It should be posed and displayed only. Great addition to your vintage toy collection!
The Six Million Dollar Man (often referred to as "The Bionic Man") was an a science fiction television action series starring Lee Majors that aired from 1973 to 1978. The series features Steve Austin, who takes on special high-risk government missions using his superhuman bionic abilities.
CONDITION: Excellent played-with condition. He has his original red tracksuit, socks, and running shoes, but his T-Shirt is missing. The space helmet is in great condition, and so is the clothing. The tracksuit has no rips or holes, and very few spots of discoloration & dirt from age. The tracksuit still has the logo decal, and it's in remarkably good condition. Joints are nice and tight, and hold position. Bionic eye lens is still crystal clear. The "Bionic Power Arm" function still works perfectly. As with EVERY one I've ever come across, the rubber "skin" covering his modules on the right arm has dried out and is disintegrating.
