Vintage 1985 Dirty Pair Anime Kei Doll Bandai Lovely Gals Collection #1
Here we have Kei, one of the main characters from Dirty Pair, which was one of the most popular 80s anime shows. The Dirty Pair dolls come as a part of Bandai's Lovely Gals Collection, which was originally planned as a much broader line called Pretty Figure Series. These vinyl figures produced by Bandai in 1985 are probably the ones best known to fans outside of Asia. They are about 10½" (27 cm.) tall, making them 1/6 scale. The vinyl clothing is removable for various posing looks. Great addition to your vintage anime toy collection!
Most people see the title Dirty Pair and think,"It's got to be some kind of cartoon porn." BZZZZZZZZZZZ! WRONG! If that's what you think you couldn't be further from the truth. If you're in a big trouble, call the World Welfare Work Association or WWWA. They will send out a team of highly trained capable agents called Trouble Consultants who can solve your problems. But if the team they send you is the Dirty Pair, there will be a lot of collateral damage aside from solving your problems. The series won the 1985 Animage's Anime Grand Prix Award.
CONDITION: EXCELLENT condition. The figure appears to have been displayed at some point, but still looks fantastic, with no paint loss, stains, rips, or scratches.
