Vintage 1977 Kenner Steve Austin the Six Million Dollar Man Bionic Grip Doll w/ Critical Assignment Arms & Legs

Here we have an authentic Six Million Dollar Man Steve Austin 13" action figure doll, made by Kenner in 1977. He has his original red tracksuit, with t-shirt, socks, and underwear. His running shoes are missing. Also included are the optional "Critical Assignment Legs" and "Critical Assignment Arms", as well as the Sonic Neutralizer pistol. The 1977 model with bionic grip is very like the original, except for the addition of "bionic grip" to the right hand. Press a button near his wrist, and the fingers will clamp down around an object. This version came with a simulated steel beam instead of an engine block. The 1977 version of the toy has a bionic arm design without removable modules. This was due to parental backlash over small, removable parts, which were considered a choking hazard for small children. Great addition to your vintage toy collection!

The Six Million Dollar Man (often referred to as "The Bionic Man") was an a science fiction television action series starring Lee Majors that aired from 1973 to 1978. The series features Steve Austin, who takes on special high-risk government missions using his superhuman bionic abilities.

CONDITION: Excellent played-with condition. He has his original red tracksuit, with t-shirt, socks, and underwear. His running shoes are missing. The clothing is in very good condition. The tracksuit has just a couple of very small holes, and t-shirt has some discoloration & dirt from age. Both the tracksuit top & t-shirt still have the logo decal. Joints are nice and hold position. Bionic eye lens is still crystal clear. The "Bionic Power Arm" function and "Bionic Grip" function still work perfectly. "Critical Assignment Arms" are in great shape. The "Laser Arm" still works, but the button to activate it is a bit finnicky. Karate Chop action arm works well, and the oxygen tank arm still has it's mask & hose. Sonic Neutralizer pistol is in great shape. Both "Critical Assignment Legs" are in great shape, and complete. One of the legs will not retain the flesh colored parts that cover the bionics, the spring loaded trigger will not stay undeployed for very long.
